another very
close game 4-3
to the East Side
Irish. The Surge
played an
excellent game
but came up just
a little short.
Very good
defense and
pitching. The
boys hit the
ball well - but
the Irish also
played good
defense. Record
at this point is
4-6.

game and Monty

going 3 for 3
with 3 rbi's. In
the second game
Harrison Gilmore
pitched 3 strong
innings but the
Surge defense
failed them
allowing several
unearned runs.

This past
Saturday, April
19, the u-10
Surge lost to a
strong East Side
Irish team 12-2.
The Surge was
held to just 4
hits, two by
Harrison
Gilmore, one by
Monty Corron and
one by
Christopher
Sullivan. The
Surge defense
let them down
committing
several errors.
Monty Corron and
Chris Chapman
pitched for the
Surge and only
allowed one
earned run. The
Surge plays the
East Side Irish
again on May 7,
and hopes for a
better result.
On Wednesday,
April 23, the
u-10 Surge
defeated the
Canal Winchester
Indians, 16 to
12. Harrison
Gilmore, pitched
4 strong
innings, earning
the win and had
two base hits.
Chris Chapman
picked up a save
in relief.
Several other
Surge players
had base hits,
including, Chris
Chapman, Blake
Patterson,
Kendal Leland,
Dylan Sharp,
Christopher
Sullivan &
Bailey Scott.
Chris Chapman
also had 5
stolen bases.

After Saturday's
games at
Westerville were
rained out, the
U-10 Surge
defeated the New
Albany All Stars
4-3 : On a cold
rainy day the
Lancaster Surge
defeated the New
Albany All Stars
in an important
division game
4-3. Monty
Corron pitched
the complete
game giving up
just 3 hits,
walking none and
striking out 6.
Blake Patterson
made several
outstanding
defensive plays.
Hitting leaders
for the Surger
were Chris
Chapman,
Harrison
Gilmore, Monty
Corron, Noah
Ball & Grant
Bickham, all
with one hit
each. Chris
Chapman had 4
stolen bases and
scored two runs.
The Surge's next
game is Saturday
April 19 at 2:00
pm at Miller
Park. The games
against
Westerville will
be made up at a
later date.

Miller Park with
the Marysville
Merchants. Game
one was a 4-2
loss for the
Surge. Monte
Corron pitched
an outstanding
game only giving
up 3 hits and
walking 3 while
striking out 15
batters. In the
second game the
Surge pounded
out 18 hits
winning 22-9.
Harrison Gilmore
pitched 1 & 2/3
of an inning
striking out
four batters and
Chris Chapman
pitched 3 & 1/3
innings striking
out 3 batters.
Hitting stars on
the day for the
Surge were
Harrison Gilmore
who had 3 hits
and 5 rbi's;
Blake Patterson
with 3 hits,
including 2
doubles; Noah
Ball, Dylan
Sharp, Chris
Chapman & Colin
Chrysler all
with 2 hits.
