The Lancaster Surge was founded in 2006 by a group of kids and parents who wanted to play competitive ball. We started with just one team and have expanded to five, and we are still continuing to grow. Surge Baseball is an organized competitive sport, but it has quickly evolved into more than just baseball. Winning is important, but not at the expense of fair, responsible and mature behavior and the improvement of each players' skills. Everyone involved with the Surge organization puts the emotional and physical well being of all players above anything else. We are committed to teaching good sportsmanship, team play, honesty, patience and poise, to treat everyone with respect and to always, always win and lose with grace. To the members of the Lancaster Surge organization this is more than simply teaching boys the game of baseball; it is assisting them in the development of becoming young men... spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally, to help them to compete in the game of life!
